Ad Fontes Media is a public benefit corporation based in Colorado. Being a public benefit corporation means we are a for-profit  business with a stated public mission, which is to rate all the news to  positively transform society. Fundamentally, we want to help bring people together. Misleading, inaccurate, and highly polarizing media content has driven so many of us apart. 

Historians are fond of saying that the past doesn’t repeat itself; it rhymes. To understand the present, we have to understand how we got here.  That’s where this newsletter comes in. 

The “new normal” of American politics is not normal. The Weekly List  reminds us of that. On a weekly basis, the List tracks specific news  stories representing eroding norms under the Trump regime.

Robert Reich spent much of the last half century pushing for positive social change — from the inside (as Secretary of Labor, representing the U.S. before the Supreme Court, advising presidents). And from the outside (author of eighteen books and co-creator of two documentaries, chair of Common Cause, co-founder of The American Prospect, the Economic Policy Institute, and Inequality Media, and teacher of several generations of students).

Leigh McGowan launched PoliticsGirl as a way to help people reconnect  with politics. She started the YouTube channel in 2015 as a way to  inform and inspire because she said, “when you understand you care, and when you care you vote”.

MeidasTouch Network (MTN) was founded by three brothers Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas. MTN  is a pro-democracy news network. MTN has quickly established itself as  one of the most viewed and visited news networks in the world.  MTN is independently owned and operated.

We’re the team making advocacy accessible. The husband and wife (Nick O’Neill and Rebecca Kaufman) team launched 5 Calls in early 2017 with the help of friends and volunteers.
